In Seattle, I had the opportunity to job shadow at Sechrist Design. It was an amazing experience that I learned a lot from. The firm was fairly small yet they had an incredible materials library with incredible work space to mess around with different materials. One thing about my day that struck me was how often we must go back to the books. After recently studying Kitchen design and accessibility it was interesting to watch one of the younger, newer associates work on remodeling a kitchen for a senior living complex. I was able to be more engaged in watching him experiment with different layouts and accessibility options.
